You will also have to trust us that, at least based on the first six hours of this thing, the WTF of it all is of secondary importance. The world Gilligan and company are building gets very big right away, but so far the even-wilder-than-we're-able-to-get-into premise is mostly a pretext for perennial Emmy-deserver Seehorn to do stellar work as a character forced by extremely unusual circumstances to reckon with the worst parts of herself (and the question of whether the worst parts of ourselves make us who we are.) So it's about that, and on another level it's about the feeling—which maybe you've had of late, times being what they are—of looking around you and wondering why everyone else isn't screaming and freaking out about what's happened to their world.
