what you mean “do you have anything that would make me stop…doing this?”
just stop crashing out AT the hive what you want them to do😂
also when do these eps
come out? love the concept and execution so far
really makes me wonder though what a Kim Wexler spinoff would-be cuz Rhea is great, per usual
wow this lived up to the hype, that really was one of the best pilots i've ever seen, Vince bodied that
The story is interesting and opens up a lot of interesting threads, even if some of the logic involving the hivemind seems kinda iffy at times
I thought it was interesting that the hive mentioned they can’t stop normal humans from hurting each other. So if any of the others ever get tired of Carol constantly losing her temper, they’ll 100% try to kill her.
If i was carol i would have killed them all tbh. I would be convinced at this point the aliens are liars who planted the lowest IQ ppl in front of me to make me think there was no hope. Like I would have gone insane and as soon as the hive mind went into seizures I would have knocked off all of them dumbasses and ran.
episode 1 was elite, not sure if it's the GOAT series premiere but not mad at people who think that. I was on the edge of my seat the whole hour
people saying this is only getting hyped cause it's Vince, but really this would be another generic sci fi show full of tropes if it was made by anybody else. the tension, pacing, cinematography, and directing were all top notch
after episode 1 I was like "well she's gotta meet the other survivors asap but since that was done in episode 2, I'm excited to see where it goes from here
we are watching a future classic y'all

fr i i wasn’t expecting her to meet the others so soon
so excited for the future
This is a modern day themed classic Twight Zone episode just expanded
Well done Gilligan
The biggest disbelief I currently have is why in the f*** the 5 others (minus Diabate since he doesn’t have a family that we know of yet) are totally cool to just have their family turn into mindless robots who had their souls replaced by some virus thing. I feel like they should be going even harder than Carol is to figure out how to fix everything
Even Diabate — I mean I get why he’s happy, but I feel like realistically it would take at least a few months (if not a few years) to get jaded enough to the point where you’d just take advantage of the material pleasures. I’d be way too shaken and traumatized if I were him in that moment
totally agree and that is something that has greatly hindered my appreciation of the second episode, while I thought the pilot was amazing.
how in the world would a white american woman be more upset about this whole situation than people from India, China, Mongolia and the likes? it gave some sort of white savoir energy that I wasn’t a fan of at all
i love the concept of a virus in RNA form from light years away
so f***ing weird i wanna learn more about why it was being sent? how did where it come from know about RNA ?
Study the Covid vaccine.

It's almost like that's the whole point of the scene and the symbolism in it, especially in this frame
Also, these people still have their families and Carol was the one left completely alone, and even tho they not actually their relatives per se they are still in a stage of denial about their family members not actually being themselves
We got one, what I think can be really good, end of humanity show with Pluribus and one, which I think is a little worse but still a fun watch, with Paradise, out at the same time
I'm fw it

Yeah, that's the only hiccup for me too. It really makes you think there's more to them that the show isn't telling us. I hope that's the case, but if not I'll just be like, eh, given the complexity of the premise I'll give this a pass. I don't want it to be a habit of unbelievable character choices tho.
