Super entertaining and interesting. I can't imagine everything is going to end up totally coherent but honestly I don't really care about that. It's nice just to have a high quality and entertaining show that feels like a ride

3 episodes in, I think the premise of the show is cool. It’s a cool take on an end of the world type setting. I admit first 2 episodes, I didn’t know this was suppose to be dark humor comedy. I didnt find anything particularly funny. Went into this completely blind, no trailers or anything. So I didn’t even feed into any of the hype, it’s after I watched it and then seen people saying “greatest pilot ever” had me thinking I watched a different show.

The show so far is not bad at all, a lil meandering and dry but I don’t mind a slow burn. I don’t exactly see what’s special about it so far. Like I’ve said in previous post, I’m down to see where it goes. I ain’t trying to kill anyone’s hype of the show, but all the post talking about it’s great, just say it’s great. I ain’t looking for anyone to justify it but like if you gonna say “greatest pilot ever” what made it that great as opposed to other shows that have similar settings? At least that’s just how my mind works.

Carol isn’t even in my top 5 most detestable protagonist, seen that s*** floating around. I find her general disposition unpleasant (yes I know Vince wrote it like that), that isn’t a critique on the shows quality. The lady portraying her is doing a great job in that regard (aside from w/e she was doing in epi1 knocking on the door ). It’s been 4-5 days so far in the show. Idk if any of you have ever actually been alone for that long with no internet, no one to talk to etc. I’m telling you after 2 days of that, you will turn into a detective with them aliens/virus, and start inquiring more, and trying to explore the limits of their behavior. I think the show has some pacing issues, don’t mind a slow burn like I said, but do I need a 10+ minute scene stocking a grocery store? I get it’s to showcase the sense of scale, but it’s meandering the point for me personally. Now if the show continues to gradually pull back the curtain revealing more about the virus/aliens, then yes imma be super into it. That’s the main draw for me. The mystery of the aliens. I don’t really care about the hedonistic aspect of Carol being able to request anything she wants. If it focuses on the later, the show gonna end up being a disappointment for me personally.

Comedy aspect of the show is… pretty flat for me. I don’t really derive any entertainment from it on that front.

Stylish show. Some cool shots in episode 3. Least favorite episode so far tho.

This show so far doesn’t even scratch the surface when compared to the first 3 episodes of that show and for some reason saying that is a big issue for these stans lol.
