The FOMO over this one is hitting different
I few obligated to check Breaking Bad and BCS in order to watch this
holy s*** get on that

this show has god tier cinematography and coloring. noticed this shot immediately on first watch as a classic
Gotta be it
Ngl, that was the first one that felt like filler to me
I love Rhea, but if you’re going to literally have her carry a whole 50 minute episode herself, you need to really add a lot of new depth to her character.
As I’ve said itt, I’m totally fine with slow rolling plot and focusing on building characters, but if you’re not really going to do either and just focus on world building only for an episode, it can get kind of stale. The world building stuff was cool tho
Also, in regards to the camera staying on her copy of And Then There Were None, wonder if that is hinting at The Others being killed off one by one like in the book?
I'm so glad tv shows are returning to rich color. I wanted to watch Paradise, but I can't stand the gray-ness of it all. This is one of the most beautiful shows on television right now. This and Welcome to Derry. The colors are gorgeous.

that fked up discovery at the end

Yeah I agree. A lot of plot points were hit. It probably felt like filler because no one else was in the episode. But, that was necessary for all the other things to occur.

I guess my counter to that would be
The wolves stuff felt very drawn out and unnecessary— what new stuff did it reveal about Carol’s character? I feel like everything it showed about her character wasn’t new information to us.
Carol trying to piece things together was the most interesting bit (not for character reasons, because again, we already knew she was very keen on learning everything) but for plot. Maybe could’ve been sped up a bit though, because it wasn’t super interesting. Like pacing-wise, if you’re going to focus on plot stuff like that, it would’ve been nicer if they had condensed it to the point where they showed what she was looking at rather than end on a cliffhanger.
And I’m not going to count 2 seconds at the very end of the episode as being part of the determination if it was filler or not.
That shot with carol outside by the sunset after covering ol girls grave was so beautiful

Why did the wolves stuff had to "reveal something new ab carol"? Lmao what
They were there to dig up the body, not to reveal something ab carol
And the whole build up felt sinister asf and the scene when they digging up the body was fr disturbing, and the way carol solved the situation felt so Gilligan
This whole sequence was so f***ing exquisite, the color palette, the slapstick humor, these weird ass cartons, the surrealism of it... chef kiss

Because I was assuming you listed it for character development reasons
It was a p boring sequence if were just taking it at face value imo
Not trying to get in an argument about this though. The show is great, I just didn’t like this episode. I’m sure I’ll go back to loving it next week.
