the shot of the drone on the light pole really reminded me of a breaking bad shot
pizza?
The cinematography has been the standout so far. Hoping it picks up a little bit in the second half of the season. After the first two episodes it felt like this wasn’t gonna be a slow-burn type show but the past three episodes have slowed the pace a bit. Really curious where this season ends off at
This one was 1000x more eventful and climatic than episode 2, 3 & 4
She’s literally trying to save the world lol. Are you watching the show..?
It can be argued that 'the world' is in fact much better off, and her endeavor is in fact more selfish and self serving rather than for the greater good / the world. I'm watching it just fine, I reckon.
Albeit I haven't watched the latest episode yet.
Funny seeing that there’s kind of some similarities between this and the chair company’s corporate espionage energy right now
Been absolutely eating these past few weeks

Than 3 and 4 yes, but definitely not 2.
2 is where we meet the five English-speaking survivors.
Also, it’s not always about what happens but sometimes it’s how something happens. Most of Episode 5 is Carol doing regular activities and calling the number to give them commands. It still works because the lead performance & cinematography is that strong, but other than it was a pretty lowkey episode
can it really be that simple of answer tho?
like i know we all think it’s a dead body but what if it’s something else? i’m wondering what if it’s specifically Helen’s body? maybe they snuck onto her properly at some point and took Helen and put everything back to normal
im just brainstorming but it feels like too easy of answer that it’s just a human body under there. no need for a cliffhanger imo if that’s all there is

i suppose this wouldn’t makes sense with the wolves digging up the grave
but still

maybe she saw herself
or one the remaining humans

it's "easy" of an answer because they literally showed you the corpse bags, you wouldn't thought ab it before that scene or the episode

I think both things can be true though (it would help humanity and it would help Carol)
I would agree that “the world” (or Earth and the wildlife on it) probably better off with The Others, but objectively I think there’s a very strong case that HUMANITY is worse off (which I think is an important distinction— are we talking about The World or Humanity and the individuals that are “infected” or whatever you want to call it).
There’s a lot we still don’t know for sure about how the virus works or what the individuals feel (or if the theory that they’re trapped underneath is true), but even just from the perspective of what Carol knows, it does seem like humanity has deteriorated in this current state
I don’t at all take what The Others are saying at face value about how it’s truly as if all human individuals are still there like normal and the virus is not overriding them, but if that was the case it would definitely be an interesting philosophical question as to if that actually was better for humanity

damn i thought episode 4 ended in a pretty crazy way tbh
the scene with the entire hive crying next to carol had me creeped out
and then zosia going into cardiac arrest was a pretty intense way to leave things on
why do yall think its humans?
I feel like that’s too obvious, maybe some variation of that tho

It was still a vital development in the story at the time, you’re only saying they’re NPCs after the fact with hindsight

the same way some of you saying that the bodies thing is obvious AFTER y'all saw the bodies😂
Did anyone here say any ab that before this episode?

I never made a comment about the bodies

When did they show that? I missed it
Yall they literally put the corpses in milk trucks
In episode 2 yes
