Trash Starmaking your main character this unlikable and having every episode hit you over the head repeatedly with how miserable and coarse they are is certainly a choice. i can't imagine ever feeling sympathy for carol or even rooting for her to figure out how to return things back to normal, that's how unpleasant it is watching her. she f***ing sucks

no? i'm continuing with the show cause i'm interested in seeing where vince is taking this, i like his visual style and i'm not really watching much else rn. if i stopped immediately the second i had an issue with anything i was watching/reading/playing then i would never finish anything

Carol has only been unlikable in like 3 scenes imo
this is another thing as well, carol is definitely supposed to be unlikeable in some scenes and that's completely fine and makes ur character more human
but i think its also giving people ammo to just hate blindly cus of it

yeah i had a post drafted to post after my reply to jonboi (that i forgot to hit post on) about how, if it was a straight man and he lost his wife or longtime gf from an accident w the hive (or whatever we want to call it), people would more than likely hand wave away the same actions/things they find unlikable in carol as being reasonable things to do and there wouldn't be the same hate
i just added gay because it's somewhat(?) part of her character, and heteronormative society being how it is, i felt its kinda pre-understood that a straight man would be getting passes on behavior that carol isn't getting
