1. Are You With That? - basic ass beat. Boring ass vocal melodies. Doin that half singing/half rapping thing. Def sounds like his label said “make something like this for us”
2. Law of average - title says it all. Vinces rapping is just sleep inducing. The man has less charisma than Guru here….
3. Sundown town - Song has a deep meaning behind it but nonetheless Vinces rapping is just boring af and the beat too
4. The shining - idk man I just don’t even wanna listen to this album anymore
Vince is just rapping Monotone as f*** and these Kenny Beats beats are just so basic. Dudes beats sound like he loops a midi file and watches a trap drum tutorial and boom, Kenny beats beat.
5. Taking trips - prob the coolest beat on here, sounds nothing like the rest. Vinces rapping is aight but he’s still monotone, or just not rapping with any type of energy
6. Interlude - still the production is more interesting than most of these songs
7. Take me home - this is the best song on this whole thing. It’s the only one I remember liking when the album first dropped. Still doesn’t help though Vince has sounded tired af on this whole album…..
8. Lil fade - I like this beat too. Same thing going on with the vocals tho…..beat actually really refreshing this sounds like something I have never heard before.
9. Another interlude- what else would an album that’s 20 minutes need? Another interlude
10. Mhm - eh it’s ok. This gotta be the most energetic song on here and that’s not saying allot

Vince started out rapping with a deadpan monotone delivery anyway. Half the time when he speaks he's monotone.

just because someone is rapping monotone of not Eminem tempo doesn't mean its 'boring'
Personally Vince Staples was one of the few albums that gripped me from the first song.
Hadn't even really planned to listen to it all on first listen but found myself replaying it when it was over

I didn't care for self titled either. It's not a compelling listen in any way for me. I force myself to come back to it and give it a shot because apparently its a great album, but I just can't hear it.
I did not really care for BFT either when it dropped and that has aged decently in my eyes though
