i'm interested to see how people will feel about this album in, like, a year or so. i've seen the phrase "replay value" thrown around quite a bit in this thread, which i think is because this project is so easy to listen to. however, it wouldn't surprise me if the laziness and lack of depth actually destroys the replay value a few months from now. section 80 has songs like keisha's song and cilvia demo has songs like heavenly father - moments that create true depth in the album, and will keep listeners feeling something for years, ya know what i mean? vince talks about real s*** on this album as well, but he just does it in such a boring, lifeless, effortless way
Did I miss something or why we even comparing it to those albums lol
Not feeling this at all, thought I would
We kinda lost the old Vince, the S06 Vince, on this project but I kinda dig the more "laid back" version of him on this album ngl
This is okay, his worst album though. Sundown Town and The Shining on the tracklist got my expectations up too high I guess
And btw, as I feared, the 20 minutes format is clearly doing a disservice to the kind of atmosphere he's trying to bring us in

Every Vince project pre-2014 had the laid back vibe tbh
nice lil cool project, nothing too amazing but some songs are nice
hope Ramona Broke My Heart is the real thing tho

i agree

Both of the Shyne Coldchain project had a laid back vibe ? Now wtf
Damn even Hell can wait, Stolen Youth and Winter in Prague didn't have that vibe. If you felt it that way then I got no say in this but I respectfully don't know what you're talking about

Lol alright man dang
Well Coldchain was in 2014 but I said pre-2014, but you really didn't think Coldchain 1 or Winter in Prague was more laid back?
That was when Vince was still doing his monotonous flow and before he got really inspired, and way before he was rapping on electronic type production.
What vibe would you say his early projects were if not chill
Very underwhelming first listen. Not doing anything particularly interesting. Hopefully the next one feels more inspired.
wild that people don’t like this
really great project
I do hope that Ramona park broke my heart is a little longer and ideally not done solely by Kenny but this is sick regardless
4 tracks in and this is already by far his best project lol
the sheer audacity of this take got me
