just copped the preorder for Lapalux's new joint. Might go in on the new Tame Impala in a few weeks after some paydays
I mean it is in terms of sound and those are facts g. Vinyls are great for the artwork and experience but other than that I’m good
better in terms of sound how? using a line as a metaphor, any type of digital file has a limited bitrate, essentially a dotted line the better the file the more dots as compared to a***og like tape or vinyl which has no/unlimited bitrate and would be a solid line
_ _ _ vs ____
The MBDTF vinyl is nice af
mines choppy at parts tbh and ive heard its common across mbdtf prints so never even bothered exchanging. The overall design and collectors edition stuff is ofc cool, but a large part of music is wel... playing it to me.
idk the technology behind it but im guessing music that uses real instruments (analog recording?) sounds a lot better and more substantial on vinyl then modern vinyls. Because listening to certain records(usually rock) is a lot more enjoyable then even great hip hop prints I have.
Only started collecting this year and s***s expensive first hand lol
we should put everyones discogs in OP if yall have one
Good idea. 😊

Need a turntable, amp & speakers.
There's few great turntables online.
Audio Technica & Sony do great ones.
ordered all of fronk's recent singles on vinyl
Just got a new VMP haul in the mail.. it includes:
Jazz Impressions of Japan by Dave Brubeck
Ella Wishes You A Swinging Christmas by Ella Fitzgerald
Magdalene by FKA Twigs
Be The Cowboy by Mitski
My s*** too big to put on discogs tbh. Most proud of my Miles Davis Kind of Blue 6 eye pressing though. Real ones know.

I wanna get the album when it drops. One of my biggest regrets is not copping Blond

1: don't buy a Crosley
2: Either hit up craigslist, FB marketplace, ebay, etc. and cop some vintage gear or you can pick up a new Audio Technica turntable for pretty cheap. You'll need speakers, a receiver, and a turntable. If you buy a used setup you should probably buy a new needle/cartridge too. The Ortofon Omega is a good entry level cartridge, just make sure it works with your TT, there's 2 or 3 different types.
I personally use a vintage Pioneer TT, a vintage Technics receiver, and pioneer CS99 speakers
