the "topaz jones - don't go tellin' your momma" repress got pushed back another month
this got randomly delivered today no shipping email or anything
something random -- so i've been keeping a spreadsheet of my collection, and its median value on discogs, over this year, and its value overall has gone down almost 1000 dollars. That's with adding about 28 records to it this year. On a whole, the average price for each record I have is still about 58 dollars, but I think that's heavily skewed. In general, i feel with most records, I can purchase them cheapest on resale than retail. Overall this does make me wonder about the conflicting perspectives about the state of vinyl industry. the few things i DO know is most records now approach the 40 dollar mark, and my collection on a whole has been decreasing in value, so it makes me wonder how much more financially unsound it is to continue participating.

I'm definitely not buying as much as I used to but I was always just buying what I wanted to listen to so resale isnt that important. though, it is fun sometimes to watch the value grow (or tank) over time
Bought a vintage Technics linear tracker TT on ebay to replace my AT-LP 120, and it arrived defective lmao.
Tried fixing it myself, but to no avail. Trying to see if there are repair shops in my area, if not I'm just gonna return the thing.
Shame because it sounds pretty good when it kinda works
Need some help
Looking for a Graduation & Yeezus vinyl just need info on what to look for or avoid so I can get a good pressing
Appreciate it in advance
picking up the KNOWER Forever vinyl from my fam's place today was truly a Christmas gift to myself

I been eyeing the Ecstatic, might just get it on CD tho. The black and white art is clean though

shoulda upgraded that AT-LP 120 with an ortofon blue or a AT cartridge in that price range instead lol
@el_senor
Anyone here have the 2023 reissue/remaster of The Chronic? How does it sound?
Seen a lot of audiophiles criticize it

Just gonna save up for an SL-1200 and call it a day

It sucks, there's no low end. Sounds pretty lifeless compared to the 2001 pressing with the digitally remastered across the bottom

I just upgraded my LP120 to a pro-ject debut carbon evo and I'm absolutely in love fwiw

I have a FLAC rip of the 2023 remaster CD and the original 1992 Death Row Records CD and I'm surprised how weak the 2023 press sounds
