they’re special if you consider them special. there is no objective answer

there’s absolutely no quality increase you’ll hear from playing a vinyl vs. a lossless file for most music post-early 2000s, but the packaging, seeing the artwork so big, and the vinyl colors sometimes being cool is the main appeal.
