Maybe I'm misinformed and I don't know how much inventory these shops have, but couldn't the owners have just taken a few vans to their place and loaded up their stock so it didn't get stolen?

How are you gonna board your windows up with plywood and then leave the merchandise in the store?

Yea honestly theyre stupid for not being prepared after there was footage of stores in other cities being looted the night before

Especially if it's mostly clothes you can heap so much of it in a transit van. I don't completely condone looting small businesses (burn down any bank or corporation tho) but at the same time I don't have too many tears for this type of stuff right now.
