What's the difference between having an AI write your songs and an actual person? Does it really matter if the song is good?

    Yes it matters wtf

Drake himself has come out to say he has an obsession with different flows and cadences. He loves switching s*** up, especially because he drops a lot and doesn't wanna be too repetitive. It's a reason why the references we've gotten are for songs where he's using a different flow/cadence from his usual ones. He usually takes flows/hooks and what's wrong with that? Especially when he's the one penning his most personal/lyrical s***.

If you wanna be mad about that then be mad. Wanna discredit him as a lyricist, fine. Just don't expect everyone else to do the same, that's all lol.

    Please shut the f*** up.

Well then you watched that s*** on mute

"It grabbed attention from all independent artists, and letting us know,

'You have to compete on another level now', it's not about you grabbing an industry beat and doing freestyles over it, you really wanna show improvement, show us that you can make an actual song with some dope lyrics, a dope beat, a chorus, and maybe a bridge."

Please explain how that means Drake is responsible for Kendrick's success

“dabbled in more sounds/styles” yeah it’s real easy to do that when you have artists spoonfeeding you their own unique take on a genre, what a f***ing baboon

  • and no, Drake hasn’t dabbled in more styles than Wayne has

  • Weeknd peeped this s*** early on. Drake was in the studio asking for mad s*** and he realized that this nigga don’t be writing for real.

Party Next Door literally only still around to keep that pipeline open. Drake isn’t dumb.

Once Quentin talked to much he ran to beam and other niggas.

    🤦

    Wym by blueprint

The foundation. Kendrick and Cole peeped how drake made so far gone sound like a album and did the same with their albums. You wouldn't get Cole's warm up to sound exactly the way it does without so far gone. You wouldn't get a Kendrick Lamar EP if it wasn't for it either.Drake is responsible for these dudes trajectory in hip hop. Sure they might have blown sooner or later but without drake who knows

I like that user but to say he's more experimental is flat out wrong.

I can't think of a single Drake track that showcased non-traditional production or stepped out of the musical status quo.

Switching genres doesn't make you experimental lol, it can be deemed diverse.

i remember they were on here saying Kanye’s last good album (or when Drake surpassed Kanye apparently) was 2010-2011

like Yeezus doesn’t blow most of this nigga’s discography out of the water, let alone experimentally
