wasn't a song removed that still hasn't been added back? i'm not attacking bruh at all. what's the deal?
It was removed cause the estate of the sampled artist forced DSPs to take it down and the album
define finished lol. anything he's made TLOP and beyond has been subject edits, updates, and revisions.
I don't think KSG or Ye had any edits or revisions. Those albums felt pretty finished
It’s mostly just minor changes, it’s way overblown and people act like he completely changed the beat on something and added different features and verses.
well i think i stated it quite simply and didn't overblow anything, regardless of what other people do

yea nothing from the 2018 era actually. Nas, Teyana, and Pusha albums were complete.

word, that's what i thought for the most part.
like i'd be interested to hear how ye would answer the question himself. i'm not attacking his new methods. he's the one who used "living, breathing, changing expression" to refer to his work lol.

I think even JIK too even though it could of used some edits. Donda was when he brought back the TLOP vibe

That one wasn't a creative decision but more of a legal one tbh

i personally like the living breathing changing method of release when it came to TLOP. that whole rollout felt fresh and unique and unlike any process I had seen from an artist. To show the creation process of the album through social media was innovative as hell.
Now that worked for TLOP but every iteration of that since?? lowkey some laziness involved.
Hope Vol 2 just doesn’t follow the Vol 1 template
what's the vol 1 template?
does Ye consider any of his material "finished" these days?
I really think that he does.
We're in a stage where his mind seems to drift from one subject to another quickly in a very childish way (at least that's what it seems like looking from the outside) so obviously the very focused old Kanye would consider a bunch of the songs stemming from his recent output as unfinished but recent Kanye probably think that they're finished (just like when your mom asked you to clean your room and by half-assing it you were 100% certain that you did the job).

KSG definitely had one or two revisions after release from what I remember
Ye had ITAKY changed too
That one wasn't a creative decision but more of a legal one tbh
word i was corrected on that one
even that tho. i hate generalizing but this specific issue i do see a lot in hip hop. please have the legal end ironed out!
I’m ready
We were supposed to get this in 4 days
what's the vol 1 template?
I meant like replace Carnival with another hype song like Field Trip, Vultures with Dead, Talking with Matthew, etc.
There’s plenty of songs that sorta overlap in features and production (bound to happen cause it all was made in same album sessions). Sorta wish it has a different structure to it than V1. Would be pretty easy to replicate V1.

That only happened cause he couldn't clear that sample on ITAKY
I really think that he does.

it's possible. we get to see some of the music getting made (and the occasional outbursts) which is cool but i wish we got to hear him talk more about his more unorthodox processes these days. just for sake of understanding lol
