Remember when Ye announced that he would add Hurricane to Donda, and the released version had a different instrumental/verse?
People didn't like the change at first, but in retrospect it was a great decision because it fit the vibe of the album.
Now he does the opposite, keeps the song as is, and it sounds like s***. It's almost like Ye is doing exactly what people ask for to prove a point; artist intuition > appeasing the fans
Or he's really gotten that lazy in recent years idk

Also ever since tlop his new thing has been showing the album creation progress in realtime and since that album his methods of showing this have been different each time. It’s come to the point where he knows he can getaway w dropping unfinished albums, he can even keep or add demos on it just cos the fans have allowed this practice to go on for too long. Maybe this is his way of allowing the fans to be apart of the album creation process, which makes the whole experience more intimate in the end for a true diehard, but a total turnoff and failure to the casual listener or former fan.

thats a very good point. probably why 530 and even sky city just doesnt really fit to me
in contrast, a song like my soul aka fighting fires was changed a decent amount and fits fine.
