Wasn't the whole point of Tidal to not be the s*** they're talking about. Wtf happened to that huh ye?
It flopped because people didn’t want to pay more money for it

Supporting artists was never a big enough selling point for a streaming service, let alone one that aspired to compete w Spotify. 99.99% of people dgaf how little their streams contribute to artists.
Welp V2 about to be a 1 listen classic unless it makes it on streaming eventually
“they will piracy the album
”
Yeah it’s no longer sustainable since yall got lazy and refuse to crunch anymore
go back to the office and go back to working 60 hour weeks
I need that 60 hour check

You can just upload to the platform you use

Maybe if the artists themselves backed the platform more. How many people released exclusives on that platform?

They had exclusives but its kinda worthless because of leaks. Its not like ps5 exclusives you can rip them but you cant play it on other platforms with tidal exclusives you can rip them and still hear them on Spotify local files

Tidal was a business so the entire point of it was to make money
Told yall V1 already proved they can go #1
That isn’t the goal anymore
Someone gotta tell Yefanatics to stop d*** riding so hard
Dudes gonna ruin it for everyone
Bro I promise you Ye already made his mind up before messaging a fan page
Yefanatics didn’t give him the idea
If drake would do s*** like this nobody would be crying like that
So it’ll be $20 on Yeezy.com then in a week or two put on streaming too
Yeah cause everyone gonna pirate it, they gonna realize they're idiots, then drop it on streaming for it to go triple meatball sandwich

If they shifted over catalogs then it would’ve been huge.

It was a lot more for better Artist pay they had two options one that matched the price with Spotify and one that was expensive with exclusive stuff, hi res audio and better artist pay
It’s not about the best route imo
The best route for sales and numbers would be to put it on the streaming services that blackballed him and his album and made no effort to hide doing so. F*** them.
But he already beat them in spite of that with the success of Vol. 1. What else is there to prove after his 10th #1, 20 years in at that?
The $20 album won’t chart and less than a few thousand people will buy it.
My only fear is that Vol. 2 actually is better than Vol. 1, perhaps even better than some of the lesser, later Kanye albums, and it’s weird release prevents it from getting the attention it otherwise deserves.
$20 for a digital album is crazy. At most it should be $10. Could even do multiple versions.
