Touche.
But them niggas selling $40 merch are selling $0 for the album so it's just distributed differently.
think in a different dimension if albums were in the $15-20 range would merch be cheaper?
But they not even selling it for $40, most hoodies going for $100 on tour tops now, $80 minimum
Itās your money if you donāt want to buy it thatās cool I fully understand but itās been 6-8 hours of the same circular discussion
An artist isnāt conning you for wanting money for their work . I would say the same thing about Sevdaliza , James Blake , snoh Aalegra or anyone who questions streaming
Gta 6 100$ no problem im a rockstar games fan
But ye 20$ nonono
This site isnāt that big at this point so ik for a fact Iāve seen some of yall complaining talk about how āstreaming killed musicā
Like am i missing something? Its 20 f***ing dollars lmfao
Listen, I probably won't pay $20 either but there are people out there who still use pre-paid cellphones
Streaming has absolutely destroyed the value of music in peopleās minds
Itās crazy cuz the iTunes era really wasnāt that long ago lol
This site isnāt that big at this point so ik for a fact Iāve seen some of yall complaining talk about how āstreaming killed musicā
It did kill music especially with those so called fans b****in
Niggas think we gonna cry because they gonna download it like our generation didnāt literally invent downloading music
Like I donāt care if vultures 2 is on billboard or sets records or even if sales live up to ye 1 million aim I rather have him try and fail then put it on streaming than feel like a slave to streaming and go on more rants about Jewish people
Streaming has absolutely destroyed the value of music in peopleās minds
This is an interesting topic because you can argue it also decreased the value for musicians as well. Because distributing is much easier the amount of trash is higher as well. Which plays a part as well
listening to it on youtube music doing neither >>>>>
Ye really not going to take it off there either so itās like get YouTube premium like Iāve been saying lol
Back in my day I woulda mowed as many lawns as possible and done extra chores just for a chance to buy the new Kanye CD
And $20 was worth a lot more when I was a youngster
Like am i missing something? Its 20 f***ing dollars lmfao
Itās so sad what streaming has done man

Craquers are entitled

I dont buy most merch cause most the time, the s*** is wack looking.
BUT I did purchase a Badu shirt from her tour last year at MSG that s*** was $40.
And considering merch is literally the ONLY way artists even make money these days (fellow musicians homies that are on tour with these niggas tell me that, the tour itself aint even making them money), that doesn't really surprise me.
An artist like ye can afford to take the loss on $20 merch though all things considered

Look at the amount of newcomers and so called star rappers. Those people never would have made it in the old era because you had to be really special to get recognized

If movies were day 1 on Netflix it would be the same way

Heās also funding all of these LPās and using his own money to produce the merch, itās expensive to be independent

Thatās why mixtapes were brilliant too
