U have to understand emo was like a hipster indie thing

And then bands like MCR blew up and were super mainstream with aesthetics that teenagers latched onto and the older hipster indie guys did not like that

It was like the opposite of what they liked basically

They never really fell off
Like most people consider dd a step below but they had no decade of shame like FOB or PANIC did

theyre one of my favs but they do only have 2 full masterpieces. then just some more good-great ones

Like I like the emo pop music but I think some of the issues the "real emo" people have with it r probably valid
