Why does it seem like KTT not fw Lil Baby like that
Whenever someone mentions how popular he is someone else has to passive aggressively imply that he isn’t that poppin and makes “Foot Locker” music
It’s like non blacks/suburban kids are dismissing him as some generic street rapper bc he isn’t trying his hardest to appeal to white/pop audiences yet is still more successful than a lot of his peers
So basically if you dont f*** with Lil Baby you´re not black? ok Joe Biden.
Imagine if Lil Baby was on YSL, feel like that’s a better home for him anyway since Thug was the one who put him on

“Non blacks/suburban kids”
But you chose to ignore the suburban kids part to get that joke off 😂
Ima let you slide though
Lil clearly isn't as big as the internet thinks, and this objectively based on his tour numbers. And what else they got going on besides him?
He has the album with the most sales of ast year
Baby runs s*** in the hood but yeah a lot of the mainstream love he gets does feel forced and paid for by the label
It’s kind of like if the labels/radio really got behind Youngboy tbh

Drake, Kanye and Post features didn’t feel forced. Baby doing his thing.

Nah I’m talking about the constant radio play and accolades, hip hop loves lil baby

Never understood calling people who dismiss lil baby suburban kids. A large portion of his fan base are suburban kids. He makes pop rap. Background music for functions.
Anyways, he’s decent but gets gassed to hell. He doesn’t have quotables, asthma attack flow is tiresome on the ears, his beat selection is boring and his voice is not good. It’s not hard to see why some people dismiss him.
He’s decent for a guy who just started rapping but there’s a TON of room for improvement. The good thing is that he knows this and is getting better as time goes.

“Non blacks/suburbans”
And I’m more so talking about the type of suburban consumer that dismisses any street rapper, you knew that though lol but again I’m not mad
I usually hear those complaints about his music from people that don’t listen to trap/street artists like that fr. His fan base doesn’t complain about none of the things you mentioned
In fact partially why he’s this popular is bc niggas feel like he doesn’t miss. His consistency is apart of his appeal. He’s been on a crazy feat run the past year or 2
He’s been consistently improving as an artist too
That’s why I don’t see why folks get so bothered by the love he gets. So many other rappers that are actually wack that niggas can hate on but folks wanna talk down on Baby bc everybody love him rn lol
I would love another batch of solo albums from the migos members.
*said no one ever
drip too hard was definitely a worldwide hit
Great song but I have to agree it’s not a global hit it’s a North American hit.
They were not bumping this in Somali to Burma to Argentina. Bad & Boujee was everywhere.
I asked a homie of mine from the UK when the collab album with Durk dropped off people in the UK was f***ing with it and he said people barley listen to Baby in general your don’t really here in on the radio outside of Drake songs. They love Durk tho as expected.

He’s definitely been on a great run over the years, won’t deny that. His consistency is mainly due to the fact that he’s been sticking to a formula, which is his main downfall (artistically)
He’s cool for what he is. he satisfies his audience, but he definitely got work to do. There’s a group of people who’s main critique is that he sticks too hard to a formula, that’s it. Anybody talkin down on him just because of hes poppin just being corny. I don’t think all critique should be dubbed as hate tho

i live in backwards ass Australia and can promise you I heard Drip Too Hard more than enough for me to call it a worldwide hit
can't speak for the somalis though.

lol the songs has made it to other countries I'm just saying that doesn't make it a global hit.
A global hit is an entire different animal.
It doesn't take away from another song being popular around the world.
I think Global Hit should be reserved for very specific songs. It like the term classic album be thrown around on every album that drops by a fan not being objective.
When people study music from the trap era in the future Bad & Boujee will be a genre defining song.
lil baby has 0 worldwide hits, migos had bad boujee
y’all forgot his run with gunna, drip too hard was getting love everywhere

Because KTT is mostly white
So many artists get downplayed on here because the users don't realize that people that aren't white suburban kids listen to different music than them
