It sounds like a blend of better Weeknd songs. And Hurt You, which is awful to me.

every song on after hours is better than it

and for all the ppl in this thread saying "french drums don't mean all the songs are the same xD" are missing the point, the reason why ktt users were s***ting on him for using those drums again was that it had become redundant at this point (he had already re-used similar patterns on Pray For Me and Hurt You); and guy was clearly milking that sound he found on Starboy for all of its worth. it was a clear cash grab

This — plus the relatively controversial second verse gave good reason to bury it.

    hey man relax

    people didn’t like this?

It wasn’t a massive hit, neither was writing on the wall. Both basically C sides, not even King of the Fall level

    Fire

  • Jun 5, 2020

    It’s dope

  • Jun 5, 2020

    Trash like that whole album

  • The irony of this song for me was that the day it came out I had a fire in my apartment and had to move and s*** smh

  • Jun 11, 2020

I think people were mostly overexposed to the sorta sound the weeknd kept coming out with and just getting tired of it. I think this song is pretty good but the verse and the overall song will likely get lost in time.

It was good albeit derivative and homophobic.

    people didn’t like this?

It’s just another copy of the Starboy pray for me aesthetic

Like the weeknd gets these legendary producers and then proceeds to somehow make something generic w them. Glad that’s not what happened w MDM and After Hours
