Tbh this is one of the more positive or supportive rants ive seen from her aside from the charli stray
Feel like nicki has still had a great career anyone would envy and any sabotage she's faced has been all her own doing.
My favorite part was the sidebar where she delved into conspiracies about Catholicism

She's speaking some bullshit tho
She can talk about white mediocrity all she wants but Nicki Minaj was nowhere NEAR the "Queen of Bubblegum Pop" when she was making s*** like Starships. She was getting outsang and outproduced by almost every other pop girl in the game honestly.
Katy Perry, Rihanna, Carly Rae, even Ellie Goulding were all making better pop music than Nicki was
This is the rawest s*** she has ever ranted about. Nicki is literally boxing herself in this rap lane,when she needs to be going at Taylor Swift and other. Idk if she has it anymore tho

She was definitely the breakout queen of pop rap for sure,but nobody was putting her up against Rihanna/Katy Perry then lol. I think her settling for the rap auntie instead of trying to make huge pop records,is what Banks is getting at I guess.
@dedication thoughts?
would rather her just start a podcast for these takes
Nicki simply aged out relative to Cardi latto and city girls, and for what it’s worth still has a crazy fanbase
“Your anger and insistence that the world owes you something for just always being angry and unsatisfied is like some late 80s welfare mom s***. Because if you are the queen of rap music should be your only weapon”
lmao like come on, do we even need to say it

Point flew way over your head

What does “breakout queen” mean? Like she was the biggest new face among pop? Sure I don’t disagree with that

Then help me out with your interpretation
Who expects Nicki to actually take career advice from Azealia Banks? She’s only relevant for rants on the gram. Everytime she pops out and says sumn her own fans have to remind people she had “joints” ten years ago lol

that’s why i reading these comments like these niggas really must hate nicki if they saying this b**** make sense lmao

One of the fastest rising pop stars at the time(even though she might've been 3rd to Perry and Gaga),is what I mean by breakout star. In her heyday,she was most likely one of the biggest rap stars on the planet,she just never really got that kinda recognition cause of sexism/racism imo. It was always "biggest female rapper" but someone like Gaga could classified as the "biggest music star in the world" at one point.
