- If there were other prominent female rappers during her reign it would only help her. The prominence of female rappers is so minimal it’s a boat lifting all tides situation. We see it now that the prominence of so many female rappers only uplifts the success of them all
- no female rappers means she was competing with only male rappers - WHICH IS MORE IMPRESSIVE
- she was competing with Adele, Gaga, Rihanna, Katy, and Taylor at their heights
Y’all gotta just admit y’all just don’t like her instead of pedaling these nonsensical arguments that sound convincing until you think about them for more than 5 seconds

Just as a combination of things explains Nicki's dominance, a combo of things explains the end of her dominance. Nicki didn't really change up her sound drastically, her and her fanbase have developed a rep for being toxic, and when Cardi B blew up, Nicki had been the top female rapper for nearly a decade.

- Cardi B blew up when Nicki was still poppin' and took the #1 spot from her, granted pop was taking the backseat to rap by 2017.
She was competing with them lyrically I give her that, but nobody was put her up against male rappers at the time when it came to sales and all of that. It was just accepted that she was #1 in female rap.
Pop wise yeah, but we're talking about female rap and nobody became popular enough to compete with her in that lane until 2017.
