She's light skinned, with ass and t***, and ran with Drake & Wayne. That's a package that couldn't be defeated for women in the early 10's
She also had a ton of personality in her raps, one of the GOAT deliveries

There was simply no one around to stop her. Its not like drake and kendrick. She literally had no females to stop her. Iggy was the only one but she white and not special.
the fact that she broke through as a top artist should be seen as impressive then honestly, because she had no contemporaries. she had to fight to even break through as a serious female rapper at the time.

Nicki was on top because she was on top. Competing with men and women. Her sons are an entire generation after her that’s a whole different dynamic than pure competition. Nicki is in the post game and Doja Cat is still in story mode she isn’t competition for Nicki in the same way Young Thug isn’t competition for Wayne
