Trump's gonna win anyways. Especially if he's locked up the underdog story will be too strong

    False.

Major polling has already shown that trump stands to lose 25% of the Republican vote due to being labeled a criminal. Obviously hardcore trumpers won’t switch but trump didn’t have enough numbers last election and now he surely won’t have enough numbers to overcome the loss of a quarter of his voters.

    You’re welcome

Republicans and americans in general have 0 attention span. Anyone thinking one party is a clear winner over the other in May doesnt know what theyre talking about. Like every election in recent memory, it comes down to the final weeks no matter what polling says.

But Democrats would be wise to not get too excited about these numbers. Take another look at the wording of the CNN/SSRS poll: Twenty-four percent of Trump supporters said they "might reconsider" their vote. That's not the same as "will definitely change" their vote! In light of this conviction, many Trump supporters might simply have a crisis of confidence about their vote without outright switching to President Joe Biden.

That's basically what another poll from ABC News/Ipsos found. Like CNN/SSRS, they asked Trump supporters what they would do if Trump was convicted in the New York case, but they provided options for both "reconsider" and "no longer support." Sixteen percent said they would reconsider supporting Trump, but only 4 percent said they would no longer support him. (Similar to CNN/SSRS, 80 percent said they would continue to support him.)

Doesn’t matter, he is losing more votes than he is gaining and he already lost the last election. The only thing that would help him is independent throw off votes.

I don’t think people who stayed with him after Jan 6 will change now because of this tbh.

It’s not about the third party candidate “winning” , but a “significant” percentage of the vote for a third party candidate would deliver a message to politicians, media and general public, about the seriousness of our rejection of this current standard. You understand me?

Wym in regards to the corporate America thing?

No third party candidate is going to have billions funded to them so no matter what message we try to send, we’ll lose to corporate money
