  • Kendrick’s best chance to run rap was after 2017 and he flopped. With the transition

  • goretex

literally pnd is bigger than all TDE rappers besides dot

also more important to music than all of them niggas combined

I guess we'll see on the next solo if he needs Drake to sell more than Q

  • Zack From The Six

Saying that to someone who’s most likely made fewer posts in the past 3 months than you have in the last week is crazy

admitting that you lurk on here all the time and only post when a new kendrick thread is created is crazier

Kendrick never really had an era. He’s like hov: never ran rap.

Not the worst but nowhere near as great as his stans try to paint it as, but that's expected given they finally felt the taste of succes

TPAB is ranked the #1 greatest album of all time by many community aggregate sites. GKMC not far behind. All his other albums have received degrees of acclaim and great sales as well. Artistically and commercially Kendrick has been very successful. Drake has really never made a perfect album as much as I love Take Care, If You're Reading, NWTS; and some of his recent work has been absolutely abominable.

I guess Biggie nor Pac ran any part of the 90s:
1990: MC Hammer – Please Hammer, Don't Hurt 'Em (sold ~6.5 million that year).
1991: Vanilla Ice – To The Extreme (sold ~4.5 million in real-time)
.1992: Dr. Dre – The Chronic (sold ~3.1 million in real-time).
1993: Snoop Doggy Dogg – Doggystyle (sold ~3.4 million in real-time)
    .1994: Warren G – Regulate... G Funk Era (~2.1 million).
    1995: Bone Thugs-N-Harmony – E. 1999 Eternal (~2 million).
1996: Fugees – The Score (shifted ~4.5 million in its first year).
1997: Puff Daddy & The Family – No Way Out (~3.4 million).
1998: Will Smith – Big Willie Style (~3.7 million).
1999: DMX – ...And Then There Was X (~3.3 million).

Nas was irrelevant too because Illmatic and It Was Written weren’t the top selling albums(according to the chart watchers logic lol)

  • Y’all gotta stop looking at Stats to see who ran Hip Hop. yall look like some f***ing Pop Stans instead of Rap Fans.

Its not a popularity contest, and the majority of fans/music consumers are White Suburban Kids. They don't run Culture or determine whats good and whats not. They are the ones who can afford to buy records and s***.

Legends like Nas, Mac Dre, KRS-One and Nipsey Hussle never sold much commercially but are still juggernauts and shifted culture.

He told us himself this is what he wanted “Watch the Party Die” Didn’t start no type of new wave to replace it or anything and everyone just acted like it was dope
