Yes. Post-2016 Drake hate went to a whole other level. You can also tell he’s not really feeling enthused about the music anymore at least as far as rap goes. Notice his lazy cadence he uses on the majority of his songs now. Then go listen to 2015 and prior . Huge difference. Lyrically tho he’s still good.

he just got bulky man. like you said look at 2015 and prior. IYRTITL came out February. most of that album was recorded in 2014 when he was still just skinny.

look at him later on in 2015, he got really big from working out. usually when a person gets that big that fast, one would imagine his voice would be a bit different. his voice is deeper and more monotonous also just add in age. this is why he doesn’t sound as enthused when he raps. i’m sure he does love making music still, cause there’s been mad times within the past 5 years where he said he was gonna do other things and take a break from music but has he? scorpion to now is the biggest break he’s taken in his career at this point and you can pretty much just thank covid bc of that.

i’m personally not a fan of how monotonous he is now, I really enjoy / love it when drake puts energy into his voice these days. just wanted to give some food for thought.
