    Don’t know about legendary album

But looking up the situation, why didn’t they just push the drop up to that date?

as opposed to wasting the money that it inevitably took to get/clear all those features and samples

Somebody got a hold of the CD and leaked it lol
especially since you had to manufacture the albums well in advance of the release date
I think watch the throne was the first album to combat this by premiering on iTunes

OP I like Tha Carter III but every Wayne fan tells me the leaks ruined it

There are some real classics in the leaks that are way better than songs on the actual album

    etc

I don't know if it's a legendary album, but I liked the creative direction for So Help Me God

I think it could've been great

nas was supposed to drop a double album called i am... the autobiography in 1999 but didn't because a bunch of songs leaked. nastradamus probably wouldn't even exist if those leaks never happened, same with lost tapes because half of lost tapes was just i am leaks.

wayne also had a big ass leak prior to carter 3 dropping

Later on August 24, 2016, the CEO of French's main label, Epic Records, L.A. Reid, later stated that French's statement that he posted on Twitter was false, and the album was delayed because of the lack of hype for it, and Reid wanted to add hype by pushing it back.

    Sounds like a real loss
