All the people that hated it and still tuned in loyally people still tuned in because it was Watchmen and it's a mini series so people wanted to see how s*** would wrap up. Show got progressively worse with its final episodes tho.

It’s a series that fundamentally misunderstands the original source material.

It was just really mediocre writing. It wasn’t true to the source first of all, and they leaned way too heavily on basic TV tropes. All of the smart characters acted like idiots just to make the story work and they got rid of the main villain way to conveniently. It played out like a police procedural set in the Watchmen universe.

i’m not a big tv/film guy. i’m more into the music seen and always have been. i definitely respect your take bc you seem to know your stuff when it comes to this. i’ve personally never seen the movie but i’ve heard it’s nothing like the show. anyways w that being said. i just thought the shows concept was cool in general.
