i was extremely excited about this from day one

liked it but didn't love it. some of the musical cues were kinda cringy, i knew the music was going to be a big part of it before seeing it and it was still kinda jarring

i feel like the first part of the story was like 15 minutes too long

the music cues are the worst thing about the film for me, the only thing that makes it seem better is imagining kids 30+ years from now watching this and going like oh this is what they were listening to in the 2010s type s*** (on some dazed n confused s***) but otherwise as a black 16 year old who’s lived in the suburbs this movie felt realistic to a tee fr
