    Original:

    Remake:

The remake is the version that went popular in France and is definitely better by a long run. I don't know how it became such a big hit over there. I see a lot of French YT comments mention how big of a tune it was during the early 80s.

Rene & Angela backed and curated group, Plush, consisted of Siedah Garret, Tony Phillips and Ambrose Henry II. They dropped only 1 album, Plush(1982). Worth to check it out. Lots of dope grooves and experimentation from Rene & Angela.

Regardless of it's mysterious rise, the song(remake) is one of the greatest Boogie tunes of all time It has that vintage hallmark, groovy Rene & Angela sound from the succinct lyrics, chemistry of the vocals, and the warm hearted production. It feels quirky at times too

The French got good taste Never understood why this didn't blow up in the U.S.

Kinda makes sense. Crazy thing is this was almost like a blueprint for French house

    You can archive your threads?

    How you do that?

That's an interesting perspective. I can definitely hear the elements too. In fact, the entire Post Disco/Boogie scene was a precursor to House music. So, it evens it out

I meant that in the sense of making a thread / repository of some kind where you can store all your previous threads in a way that can be accessed easily
