Music never sounded more futuristic than Missy and Timbaland in the late ninetees.
Which makes this late 2000’s era even greater because that happened without directly biting the futuristic Timbo Darkchild etc era that happened less than 10 years before it
Rap Today Could Never
Such a classic
safe s***is great s***🤔
Cause you don’t want that late text

Great time to begin loving music.
Kanye was an auto tune demon during these years , he was hopping on every one’s track so he could start singing with it , has to be my favorite music moments ever

Its on C3 on streaming and Apparently was on the disc of C3 and a digital single
I miss when streaming wasnt the “official” record of if a song dropped it was just the wild wild west of what you found on YouTube and niggas in comments wasn’t saying was fake lol

Wish we got a full mixtape of Amber Rose era autotune Ye with a mixtape host and all lol
Song was ass from the day it dropped
This single might be the moment everything changed for the worse tbh
Nigga post a good opinion once wtf
Yeah I fw this dated but futuristic sounding era. Blueprint 3, 808s, that one black eyed peas album
Bp3 killed this style of music
Bp3 killed this style of music
Thank Me Later out now
Future, Keef’s arrival + Drake and Kanye themselves kind of doing decent quality rap verses on those type of songs (Tony Montana and Don’t Like Remix) which validated that style in the pop rap landscape they created imo killed this era off
Although of course also rap tastes just changed between 2011-2012
I think Finally Famous and Rolling Papers were the last albums of this vibe. Probably BoB’s album too but I never listened to it all the way thru lol
ngl i do not like this kanye verse
why? it's one of his best uses of autotune

Song is ass and the album as a whole was an embarrassing step down from Carter 2
Man was just desperate for that “platinum in a week” gimmick, and it worked tbh
S*** tricked ppl into thinking it was good
I remember not liking this song at all as a kid
I remember not liking this song at all as a kid
Lotta ppl hated it
Not sure why ppl itt who were like 8 when it dropped are trying to act like it was universally loved
S*** was pop garbage compared to what we were getting from Wayne before C3
