    save ur energy tho the lodi one is a big flop
    the inner texture is not giving
    and it had no chew or anything
    did have plenty of choco ig

    these are african spots ive enjoyed

    • bunna cafe - vegan ethiopian
    • ras plant based - vegan ethiopian
    • teranga - fast casual spot, their fried plantains r my fave in the city
    • voila afrique - slightly pricier but might b bc all their meats halal?
    • mum feteer - its like a pizza shop but no pizza its feteer
    • zooba - fast casual egyptian

    ive heard good things but not personally been to

    • africa kine
    • hills kitchen
    • jollof
    • brooklyn suya (bf rly likes this spot)
    • safari
    • hamido seafood

    thats all i got but im sure theres like..... so much more ?????

    delillo pasticceria (open since 1925) for the mini cannoli and mini lobster tail

    lobster tail was just ok, filled w whipped cream
    i rly liked the cannoli tho, and the coffee hit



    and casa della mozzarella next door



    so good--we got the smoked mozz

    • the siciliana w the smoked mozz, marinated eggplant and parmacotto--so good, just a bit acidic, smoky, so good
    • the johnny handsome w the salame felino, honey turkey, provvolone, sun dried peppers, balsamic glaze, etc.
      incredible 11/10 sandwiches

    we got the brisket 5-0 (hometown bbq brisket w pineapple) and the helboy (mikes hot honey, soppressata in tribute 2 robertas)

    green plum- mochi filled w white bean paste and a candied green plum piece
    hydrangea - white bean paste , red bean paste filling, elderflower
    i think the green plum was the winner for me, wasnt too crazy about the hydrangea

    Y'all help me describe something. What do you call stacking food on top of food? I was talking to my boy and he was telling me about a Philly cheese hotdog which is just a hotdog they put Philly meat and s*** on. Why am I not into this?

    I like hotdogs and Philly's separate and I have no doubts that they'd taste good together but for some reason I just can't get into the concept. Same thing when I see Mac and cheese on like a burger or something. Idk why it seems childish or something and i just can't make myself get s*** like that. Basically I'm curious as to if there's a name for this.
