    this one is the:
    "Vietnamese Savory with Salted Egg Yolk — Chock full of goodness including ham, Chinese sausage, candied pork fat, pork floss, candied winter melon, candied lotus seeds, candied ginger, cashews, salted egg yolk, and much more!"
    rly good, u can taste the quality and thought put into it

    takesushi -- theyre on a one month break, rly good and not pricy

    okinawan seaweed

    wasabi octopus and softshell crab


    botan ebi stood out, had a great bouncy texture

    uni, toro, and ikura were all pretty remarkable. toro was i think the fattiest ive ever had period. the white piece was rly good 2-- octopus tentacle

    owner flies back to japan every week or something to bring fish back, kinda crazy lol
    they sell larger cuts of fish that u can take home too--the stuff he brings back personally from japan vs the stuff he buys shipped in are listed separately on the menu so u know whts up
    they do some other stuff thats interesting like a whole bonito set and whatnot
    cash only
    they blew up on the gram so its a line typically, but u can make a reservation if u order the omakase

    triple S chicken parm from milano market-- this was a miss for me
    not enough sauce imo. saved half the sando for dinner and heated up some tomatey sauce to dip it into and it improved it significantly


    chipotle chicken torta frm tortazo (owned by skip bayless's brother, rick bayless, who owns a mexican restaurant empire in chicago area w like multiple james beards plus a michelin star)
    i thought it was a nice little lunch sandwich but as far as tortas go wasnt the most flavorful lolol. its defs like high tier corporate lunch but if i were not eating it for corporate lunch i wld b disappointed by it


    sundown bar -- green garden. liked it a lot, very cardamomy and milky which i enjoy

    croquettes (rly good)

    polenta bread w stracciatella (i enjoyed this but probs wld skip next time--its just bread lol)


    two sheet lasagna verde--i liked how crispy it was on the edges, but it cld use a lot more sauce and flavor. like the only sauce u get is a smear in between the two sheets...,,, pasta texture and char was fire.
    corn cavataelli in the back--better than the lasagna but not as good as daisies' corn pasta

    war fries-- i liked this a lot. its a blob of mayo w this spicy peanut /lime leaf sauce n some raw diced onions on top but the peanut sauce rly hits with the fries. and the fries i think are actually rly crispy, which is hard 2 find for potato wedges
    overall
    i liked the fries the best lol
    probs wldnt go back, but might try to order the burger delivered one day... thats the thing theyre known best for but they were out

    idk... theyre from chop suey club--they sell an annual assortment of mooncakes from various bakeries.

    not gonna question why theyd only sell me halves
    but

    this was the roster
    never had a beijing or yunnan style mooncake before so was v interested. they also were selling a vegan assortment ft canto style, suzhou style, mung bean cake, and a golden pig one.
    of those the only one i hadnt had before was the pig one so i just bought a whole one of that

    i think the bottom left one u can just buy at any meetfresh location
    havent tried any yet, will post the review later

    went to little egg

    i liked how crispy the pancakes were on the edges and the french toast was a great texture.
    the egg katsu sando and hash brown were nice too
    all scratch made
    i think its a good brunch place. not life changing but solid staples u cant b mad at


    their pastry roster is p solid
    the genmaicha snickerdoodle is elite
    the peach coffee cake was 2 sweet for us, but the espresso cream puff (collab w natasha pickowicz) was much less sweet

    i think their outdoor space is rly nice
