Espresso machines are so expensive, I would invest in one but my future office has one of those 20k ones and I'm probably gonna just buy my coffee most days anyway

You should try turkish style if you like espresso! You're gonna need an even finer grind tho. I got into good coffee from my internships which had those nespresso machines and the coffee from those pods was like 6/10 tbh

most of those places use super dark roasts and bad beans too, brewing method with Turkish roasts your coffee already so using a dark roasts is overkill
My light roast La Colombe was superrrrr good turkish style, highly recommend that brand! They shipped me a bag with a 4/7 roast date!! I was so hype.

Light Roasts will be fruitier and even lil sweet/acidic, medium/darker has more robost and intense flavor which you're probably familiar with.
The big popular roasters are like La Colombe, Counter Culture, Blue Bottle. You get fancy micro roasters all around too just like microbrewers for beers.
I like Colombe cause they have lot of variety and so many different grind sizes depending on type of coffee you're trying to make.
