My dad loves beef tongue

I can’t bring myself to even try it tbh

I’m usually good with trying something before I judge it as good or bad but my whole life I’ve never managed to get myself to try that. It’s just too gross looking

Also overseas he said he would wake up early in the morning and walk to his local restaurant and they would sell him a beef brain sandwich. He would eat it at like super early hours (7am-8am type s***) and it was a delicacy. The most expensive food you could buy out there

You should try, I used to think the same thing too. The idea of like the taste buds and the texture of the tongue disgusted me. But it really has an amazing taste and texture.

Yeah, just gotta cut the needles out and boil it or fry it. It’s pretty mild, kinda like green beans with a more citrusy taste

We don’t eat the skin

They put the tongue in a big stew and it boils and cooks with other stuff, then when it’s done they take a tongue, strip the skin off of it which takes off all the tastebuds and stuff I think and they eat the meat on the inside

Cabeza is the superior taco meat when it comes to beef but not all places have good cabeza so it can be risky just ordering that s*** at any random taco spot
