I need to put y’all onto Red Wine Spaghetti. I used to make this all the time in college when I was tryna get laid. It’s a great dish that looks way more difficult to make than it actually is and your hoe gonna want to put it on her insta story because it looks so pretty. This is my personal recipe. Any questions, just ask. Enjoy.

    (I thought I had a picture of it saved, but I guess I don’t)

    Red Wine Spaghetti

Whole bottle of dry red wine (cabernet or merlot)
    1 1/2 cup water
    1/4 cup olive oil
    4 garlic cloves
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
    1/2 cup chopped parsley
    1/2 cup graded parm
    Salt and pepper

    • Combine water, salt, and red wine in boiling pot.
    • Once boiling add enough spaghetti to feed 2-3 people
    • When pasta reaches a deep red color all the way through, reserve 1/4 cup of cooking liquid then drain noodles.
    • Heat olive oil over medium-low and add freshly minced garlic and red pepper flakes in pan.
    • Add noodles to pan and stir with tongs
    • Season with salt, pepper, and more red pepper flakes. stir.
    • Add 1/4 cup of wine cooking liquid to pan, stir and cook till nearly absorbed.
    • Incorporate graded parm
    • throw in chopped parsley, and more olive oil
    • season with salt and pepper and top with parm and parsley

how does this taste/what can you compare it to? Don’t think I’ve ever had a red wine pasta sauce. Only had tomato and/or cream based sauces for pasta

The spaghetti takes on the flavor of the wine without the alcohol. It’s a subtle sweetness that is well balanced by the other more savory ingredients.

Hard to describe because not like most pasta dishes. Very much it’s own category and that’s what makes it special. It stands out.
