they didnt have the dang crabs so we just got galbi jim and spicy seafood stew

galbi hit

also went 2 los palomos for al pastor tacos
was v good

lobster from tan cang newport seafood (santa ana) was good (not a huge huge lobster fan tho) and their beef chow fun was nice

liliha bakery poi mochi donut (2 sweet for me... mainly the glaze)
og and green tea coco puffs -- they kinda toppled over so its kinda messy looking but theyre yum

waiola shaved ice (fire)
pipeline bakery made 2 order malasadas... we got all 4 of the standard flavors but like they tasted all p much the same minus the li hing one

ono seafood poke (all tuna half hawaiian og half shoyu)

maybe but prolly not anytime soon. boba has more variety/more customizable and looks way more “cute/trendy/ig friendly” which is part of the appeal.

also I will always associate viet coffee shops w the illegal ones in sj w strippers n s*** lol.

another thing i think is that a lot of ppl drink boba bc they like how sweet and not strongly tea flavored it is

its like going to starbies for a caramel macch or getting one of those refresher things as opposed 2 getting idk ~~actual coffee
its just sugar no substance

even traditionally stronger tasting teas like matcha are like very diluted flavorwise at most boba shops
