attended a lil knowledge dump on all things grapes from a master gardener at the library like 5 blocks away from me
got a wine grape plant from the man himself that imma put in the ground tomorrow too
gimme a few years and imma have my whole front porch shaded with grape vines and theres gonna be clusters of grapes just dangling there begging to be picked and eaten or picked and made into wine
Top is - Fish of the day with lime pil-pil sauce &
sea gazpacho.
Bottom is - Vanilla Ice cream with Almond, citrus, sichuan pepper & bergamot.
This was a Michelin star restaurant so there were some other dishes in between, lovely experience all around.

I think pretty much all the non-japanese focused 3 michelin star restaurants plate like this, as well as any 2 michelin stars with the goal of reaching 3
Like theyll never just give u slab of steak thel give u 3 slices in the midle of a gimungo plate, have sauce going diagonally splattered acfoss, put down 4 1-inch pieces of asparagus very specifically arranged with a pair of tweezers, and then add a couple edible leaves or flowers with tweezers
And then charge u the amt of money as the whole slab of steak
Sometimes this bullshit plating style rly does look cool thooooooo so i cant say i hate it
And i say non japanese bc i went to a 3 michelin star cantonese restaurant once nd they also plated like that LOL
