    au pied de cochon:
    fire
they had a special that was a whole lobster stuffed inside a pig head which sounded and looked crazy but we wanted to get other stuff too so dubbed it

bread w herb butter hit,.... the herb butter was v good

foie gras terrine slapped... came w maple brown butter

    whelks over tatziki

    tomato tart was a1

    foie gras poutine

pork confit over lentils, rly good

    lobster sundae
the straws r filled w champagne
didnt have ice cream in it its just mashed potato and spinach and s*** like that w lobster and foie gras

    duck in a can

they stuff half a duck in a can and then open the can and plop that s*** on the plate when it's ready to serve

their bacon foie gras mac n cheese

corn (this was just ok LOL)

    berry tart for 2

pudding chomeur-- some weird depression era quebecois s***. my friend said it reminded him of gulab jamun

Oh you went to the fancy spots

    I was hitting mostly pubs

p good, the poutine we got (that box that looks full of meat) was good

    fairmount bagel
idk why mtl bagel joints dont sell their s*** as sandwiches LOL it was a f***ing ratrace to make my own s*** using a single plastic fork shared amongst 7 ppl
it kinda just felt like a less hefty ny bagel tho tbh

st viateur bagel--their bagels r sweeter than fairmount, we liked this more it felt actually different from a standard ny bagel

    beautys luncheonette
this place is clutch as f*** for seating our party of f***ing 14 ppl for a weekend walkin
its just good diner food but like man thank god they sat us lmao

    Haven’t had katz

Schwartz so overrated to me, it’s just the smoked meat and a bit of mustard on some soggy bread

Like I get they’ve been making the sandwich the same way for like 80 years or whatever but at what point do you need to improve it

  • Aug 3, 2022

we also went to depanneur le pickup and that was rly good as well--nothing like particularly special
but just good food nice picnic tables outside chill vibes good cookies
    great casual lunch vibes

didnt get pics bc i didnt have my phone

    got a pulled pork sando

yaya we wanted to hit au pied de cochon up partially bc the bourdain cosign

theres another joint w bourdain cosign (joe beef) but we couldnt get a res for that many ppl

but tbh its cool tho that place is also known for being gluttonously disgusting

so two gluttonously disgusting joints in one weekend would have been od

they finally made it to korea mann these kids been homies since they were 4 and just graduated hs together. youtube channel real af for keeping their promise and actually taking these kids to korea. no matter where these kids are in 10 years they will always have this memory to look back on to remember their old hs friends (cause old ones know most high school friends aren’t actually forever )
