I agree about the pant boot interaction, also as far as proportions go the longish fleece and the tucked pants are both visually shortening so you can probably only get away with one or the other. Pants and boots are sick together though

Fits ft some new pickups. Trying to find more pants that work well with the rick hikers, looking into some astares but not quite sure how the fit would look on me. Finally cold enough to bust out this coat tho

How tall are you? This fit makes you look very short. The combination of tucked pants plus long fleece shortens your legs a lot. I'd honestly do both a shorter jacket and let the pants go over the boots. Just letting the pants fall over the boots may do the trick.

You don't need to stay away from boots because of your height. Just stay away from tucking into them or wearing cropped pants. If you really want to wear cropped pants or tuck them, you'll need to wear a more cropped top half.

Play with your proportions to flatter your body. Otherwise, I like the direction you're headed. If the proportions were more flattering, this would be fire. As is, it's not bad though.

Both cool. The second could use some accessories to spice it up. The first might would do well with a pop of color. The second would look cool with a different top under the jacket. Maybe something mohair or with another interesting texture. Either that or a cool intarsia design sweater.

Julius cargos or Rick cargo would both look cool with the boots.

I’m 5’4” so when I drop the ball on this s*** it really shows lol, I’m gonna take one last crack at those boots tomorrow before I just start working them into my regular rotation, so I appreciate the help, imma try my best to put everything everybody told me into practice

Appreciate the feedback, I agree on the second look. An intarsia or mohair would add some depth. Also a necklace would look real solid. What color do you think I should look into adding on the first? I think an orange could look pretty tight, but my wardrobe is fairly neutral at the moment. I’m definitely gonna look into Julius cargos, only problem is sizing :/

Yea, a necklace or two would look cool. As for color, I was actually thinking orange too. Honestly, just buy some cheap crewnecks/hoodies/tees off of Amazon in different colors to play around with color. Then once you have it down, go for more expensive stuff (or don't, I'm all about cheap basics to save money for 'statement' pieces).
