I used to think TPAB was Kendrick’s magnum opus, but GKMC being the perfect blend of storytelling and great songwriting while still being catchy and replayable puts it over the edge IMO

The come down from Sing About Me -> Real still hits like it did in 2012

Easiest way to take away the enjoyment of something is to compare it to something else.

Drake >>>

Both classics and deserving of their praise. Personally it’s always GKMC for me but couldn’t knock someone at all for TPAB as their preference

Kendrick Lamar is the greatest artist of all time

Two cakes at the end of the day

But no

TPAB was like S80 on steroids for me so gotta go with that one …

Sure is.

naur

never understood the replay-ability take as it pertains to TPAB, i can play any song off that project at basically any time aside from u and for free cause they are more thematic songs. with that said cant personally put GKMC over TPAB, but they both definitely top 5 Kendrick lol

I remember it being rumored that TPAB was gonna be jazzy and was super hyped bc I loved s80

Same I actually don’t mind the poem breaks, just some songs are kinda heavy like u, for free, for sale etc

you just unlocked a memory for me epic s***

can’t make this up but before your comment I deadass just put this on the aux I’ve just never let heavy music stop me from playing albums like this casually idk

Nope

Put the phone away and drive

I’m passenger

UK ? 👀

Not even remotely close

GKMC is a classic debut and album in general

But TPAB is one of the greatest albums of all time across all genres

F*** no

Love gkmc & its a classic but it has a couple songs that don’t all the way do it for me

TPAB is flawless
