Probably the biggest contributor. Without having support growing up, formative years are wasted on blindly navigating without any help. Reasons to believe this is why many young men are looking up to these awful people like Andrew Tate or Jordan Peterson. They never had a father figure to guide them correctly through life. Actually pretty disturbing, because growing up there were at least athletes who were looked up to. Seems like it doesn't exist anymore.

I think when people say its a bad thing its mainly about the idea a family has to be a mom and a dad and children.

When its clear that 2 parents are better than single-parent families. But those 2 parents can be 2 moms or 2 dads, etc.

They look too far into the meaning of nuclear family. The point was that it's not a single parent household with the idea of a tight knit family.
