DAMN just had hits but is a way worse album. But since it had hits it did well streaming wise. That's how it works. TPAB and GKMC also did both around 300k fw. So i guess that is kinda his fanbase and the mad extra sales from DAMN. came from HUMBLE and bundles

Yeah so it proves the album isn’t underperforming commercially because Kendrick took risks. It’s underperforming because those risks weren’t successful

Not really. But if you go for a very personal record like this, with maybe only Die Hard and Silent Hill with some hit potential, then you could do very bad sales wise after the initial hype
Most of the DAMN sales was physicals too and he didnt have that now too. Multiple factors to it. I do like the album a lot tho and so do most Kendrick fans if you look around. It's probably the non-Kendrick fans not f***ing with it, while they did with DAMN. cause of the more commercial sound
