I feel people when they are waiting for him to re-invent himself again because the last couple of albums seemed lackluster, calculated or formulaic to them.
For me Scorpion Side A is fire and for me CLB is a vibe.
And I understood the thread as people wanting a Drake single or a couple of fire features to "save" the summer. But maybe I understood the thread wrong.

Its crazy how much Drake has improved as a rapper and artist but I see takes like this. Honestly how can you say its been mediocre when some of his best stuff isn't even 3 years old? Personally I think Drake is at the top of his game right now

i think a lot of folks put pressure on him or hold certain expectations on him because he was the most dominant sound on night outs before the pandemic, and many associate good memories with his music
even if he dropped mention me... idk it has hit potential like an afrobeat version of too good

I feel the same. He still has though flashes of greatness like Chicago Freestyle, Vital, and Your Mine Still remix but I feel like those are the best records Iāve heard from him in the last like 3 years.
