I feel music fans don't give producers more credit at all. They should be celebrated like how the Singers/Rappers are celebrated. Would out producers rappers and singers won't have a vision on how they want their song or project to play out.
For the past 15+ years producers should get MOST of the credit
💯💯 I feel singers and producers appreciate them but the fans don't. Like everyone plays a role from the producer(instrumentalists if added to tracks)/engineer/rapper or singer all play a role.
producers and rappers are all people
it doesnt matter if their black white asian or whatever
human rights for ALL (incl. producers)

Engineers tbh
Everyone loves the architects but no one realizes what engineers do
Anyone that’s dope deserves credit. But I feel like producers have been lazy af. Very little progression in beats nowadays

You are actually right about producers today.
producers should be viewed like how guitarists are viewed in rock genres (or really the entire band besides the singer tbh)

Reported for racism
F*** engineers/producers tho @Hereditary
i think part of the reason theyre overlooked is due to how few rapper//producer duos or groups there are nowadays. single performers are emphasized a lot & when every song on someones album is done by different producers most people dont care to learn who made what
I agree from a general population perspective but I think people who are beyond a casual music listener (hate this term but w/e) generally appreciate our producers

All respect to producers, but it’s 50/50 with them and the rapper.
The production lays the foundation and grabs the listener’s attention, and the vocalist contextualizes the instrumental and makes the listener stick around for 3 minutes.
As much as some people like to lie and seem smart by saying they “only like the beat”, that’s just not true. If it were, producers’ solo instrumental albums would be much more successful and much more popular

I'd listen to a wheezy instrumental album
