People called Greta Thunberg an SJW relentlessly lol

Then they misused the term which is what always happens with terms like these, people just run them into the ground until it means absolutely nothing

I don't give too many f***s about this whole thing, but I've yet to see this sjw stuff leading to actual results. Seems like a massive circlejerk to me

I've seen people becoming more respectful to trans people. Insults/jokes about "trannies" obviously aren't standard anymore.

You gotta remember people really were afraid to be friends with gay people even around first half of 2010s, s*** sounds standard now but progressive culture really had to work to change it

Yeah but wasn't that change caused by actual rallying by LGBT people? Not that s*** we refer to as SJWs today. I don't think anyone has a problem with actual marching and s*** unless they truly are bigots

  • I'm just not sold on the importance of it aside from some loose benefits to trans people online

Yeah I get what you mean, I don't think "SJW" needs to be reclaimed, it's such an obnoxious label anyway and will forever hold the imagery of people who are doing it for social points in whatever circle they run in.

Idk if there's a hard line of difference between LGBTQ+ supporters and SJW but ultimately the discourse should be more about just being progressive and accommodating to those that are genuinely going through the s***s, but it's hard to get everyone to agree on where the line is. E.G I think Twitch banning the word "virgin" is an absolute joke but damn... You know people are fr haunted by being a virgin lol.

My friends are very progressive but im still of the opinion you need to just harden the f*** up sometimes, but you can't just tell someone that because it "invalidates their feelings"

I love how everyone's complaint is that they're annoying.

    Like grow up lmao

Crazy s*** is they see one tweet on twitter and will go into a fit of rage as to why SJWs are ruining the world.

    Social justice warrior.

Seriously, few things bother me more than seeing people try and do good and get scorned for it by people who think they're above anyone else. This whole edgy misogynistic trend that has uprisen in internet culture is so sad. When did fighting for social justic become synonymous with being a nuisance?

You're not cool for denouncing pronouns or for calling someone an sjw because they call out someone for racism. You're a f***ing idiot. If anything, we need more social justice warriors. We need more people who are not afraid to stand up to misogynistic loser like behavior.

As much as I love the internet, it is breeding this new age of f***ing weirdos who think that calling people out for caling s***ty people out is a good thing. It's not. It doesn't make you cool. Being an activist is cool. Standing up for injustice is cool. Slavery is no more today because of people who were willing to fight against the injustice that was taking place.

When people feel annoyed by activism they see taking place and feel the need to make negative comments, it is because of laziness. They are unwilling to take on the responsibility to stand up for their fellow man. That shows weakness. However trendy it may be to s*** on these people, it makes you look ignorant and feeble minded. Think for your self. Stand on your own two feet. Stop feeding into toxic internet culture. Be a warrior.

    lmfao

There's a difference between a SJW and someone trying to make actual change. One actually makes moves to make the change they want to see and another just makes posts on social media for positive feedback. If likes and retweets were gone a lot of those guys would have stopped. They equate complaint about something to fighting for something. I don't think theres as many SJWs as people try to make it seem but the ones who exist are insufferable.
