We gotta be realistic and compare in their time frame. How you gonna compare 33-34 year old Kendrick a man that has worked on his skills for over a decade more than Roddy? That makes no sense. But if we take it back and look at what Kendrick was doing at 20 and what Roddy is doing at 20, it’s no competition, Roddy beats him easily. And you’ll see in a Decade my mans finna be in a whole nother level

You can’t really make this comparison

Roddy heavily takes from the blueprint Future and Thug already laid for him + isn’t really as lyrical or creative as Kendrick

Kendrick could get on the autotune and make the type of music Roddy makes (and probably would be much more lyrically strong @ it) while Roddy can’t make a buried alive interlude or peer pressure

Just because he got more hits at this age doesn’t necessarily mean he’s better than dot at his age on top of the fact that Roddy is older than 20 I believe

Kendrick wasn’t at the same level as Roddy at the age of 20, that speaks for itself. Can’t compare Kendrick now that’s dumb

I mean, if we're gonna look at things realistically then you have to also take into consideration how much easier it is to blow now than it was when Kendrick was 20 y/o. Not tryna take anything from Roddy, he's doin his thang rn, but it's undeniable that it is now easier to make connects and blow up than it has ever been.
