What exactly happens to all of the luxuries in life in a socialist society?

Who buys the fully loaded continental gt? Who gets the Patek? Who goes on beautiful vacations and stays in 5 star hotels?

No 1 man should have all that power

Efficiency benefits everyone. Goods and services cost less to produce and are therefore more affordable for the average person, they’re more innovative and technologically advanced because companies can invest more in R&D, average GDP per capita increases, etc. These benefits improve everyone’s quality of life.

It’s better for a nation’s wealth to be in the hands of corporations, entrepreneurs, high-skilled individuals, etc who can use it to generate more wealth for the nation, than for it to be in the hands of lazy, low-skilled people who contribute little to society.

    very well said.

if you're smart you've been playing the market heavy since Trump came around and at least doubled your accounts

DAMN bro, a few hundred more presidents like Trump and maybe you'll be able to SIT at the same table as Jeff Bezos

You still don’t understand my guy. I’m not trying to sit at a table with bezos. I don’t give a s*** about bezos. His money doesn’t affect mine.

Mr bezos can do whatever he wants cus I’m gonna prosper no matter what. I wish y’all had that same confidence and drive but y’all wanna be perpetual losers who worry about what other people have.

Jeff has so much money he could essentially buy you if he wanted to and there would be nothing you could do about it.

ask a really dumb question then pretend everyone else is the stupid one

How is it a dumb question? What happens to luxury goods in a socialist world?

Are we gonna just stop making them? If we do keep making them then who’s buying them without inequality?

Or do you think everyone gets a Ferrari based off their status as a human being?

Maybe if my depression goes away I'll find the urge to want to read into different ideologies and figure out what really is right.

Imo I don't think capitalism is all bad. I like the idea of theoretically being able to move up the financial latter. The issue is when you get greedy with it.

The way it currently is right now is undoubtedly broken. It's almost like it's designed to work against you the lower on the pole you are. And every step you take to the top, there's just a tiny bit less resistance than before. Except if you're in poverty, you take steps forward then it comes crashing down right before you can take off because now you make 100 dollars over what would qualify you for food stamps and free healthcare. Somehow, you're supposed to be able to cover that with the extra 100 that you make a year

All these dead end jobs that wouldn't train you/pay your education even if they could because they know you'd become too good for them, and that's bad for their bottom line.

I think there's ways to fix it without total socialism, but I could be wrong.

    Everyone I guess

Imagine living in a Kardashian mansion despite never even remotely coming close to making even 150k a year

IMAGINE SMOKIN WEED IN THE STREETS WITHOUT COPS HARASSIN. IMAGINE GOIN TO COURT WITH NO TRIAL

    Treasures in Heaven

19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

    I could see it

Most friendly people I've ever met were worshippers. And it wasn't even fabricated either, you could tell these people's hearts were as genuine as their physical being.

Seems like a nice thing to achieve. To have so little negativity in your heart, even in the face of opposition and ridicule.

But I guess I'm workin for the devil for now

listen, faith and church dont erase your problems...they change your perspective on life in a way that even the worst stuff will feel like a blessing....If anything, once you join a church your inner problems multiply cause you see your heart and mind as they are.

most Saints died horrible deaths and were humiliated....but they gave their future to God when they became Christians like leaves on the wind.

If we realize that the perfect Son of God tolerated getting tortured, humiliated and killed for us cause He loves us then we can try to love Him.

Jesus didnt get crucified to take on God's wrath like protestants and catholics preach but to show us what perfection is and hep us find and achieve it.

And some people have too much guilt and feel like they're not worthy of God's love but God has a panoramic view on our lives. He didnt look at Peter only when he denied Jesus but also saw the miracles and preaching he did.

You dont have to be old or a scholar to ''get'' God...God is simple..His happiness is simple and His simplicity is His and our happiness...that's why He said ''let the children come to me''...because we have to be simpleminded and pure as children to be true Christian

    sorry 4 the tldr

    Lol b4 that

    I'm joking

    but yeah I feel you

everything God said in His word is not meant to hold us back and be like ''I forbid this and if you do it you'll burn''

most of His teachings were given to help us live better

Gluttony makes you ungrateful and causes health problems

Pride makes you selfish and when the time comes to face the world you get rejected and end up disappointed

while on the other hand fasting has many health benefits and makes you appreciate even a slice of bread with some cheese

Being humble makes you realise you're not the center of the world and even if someone hurts you..you swallow the pain and move on to better things

Most of the anxiety wave our generation is facing comes from being pressured for what we'll do in the future from everyone....while Christ said ''Be like the birds. They dont reap or sow but God feeds them''

again...valuable life lessons....not fearful damnation for being human
