You are right I don't know why people get mad when it's kinda ridiculous. Mainly with the fact that he has been working on it for so long, announced a date and is still working, like just wait longer if it's not ready, why rush the end now
pandemic really changed things. who else was dropping? not that many people. its been a drought in the music world imo. the weeknd dropped a great project before the pandemic started. other than that, its been really quiet. a couple of memorable singles here and then from various artists but cant really complain. we're entering a new era of music and its barely getting warmed up. refined and revised. new artists bringing a new vibe and old artists turning over. it is what it is. cycles
