Think about it, NFTs are one of the only ways these label signed artists can make a buck that doesnt get divided 2900 different ways. Most of the NFTs are throwaways.

And yet, because theres such a huge fanbase, there’s obviously enough people that have thousands to millions to spare for the auction.

This is actually a good answer to leak culture. You sell your actual throwaways at a higher cost than most of your albums ever, somebody buys it now they have that property. And afterwards, we all still can listen to it, the same way we can still visit and look at expensive art.
